I’m Learning, Too

I’ve been teaching in Christian schools and universities for over 3 decades. And for over a decade, I’ve have also helped many groups use the 3-D Worldview Survey to help them better understand their students’ worldview, I’m still learning. Each time a new group uses the survey, people ask me some of the same questions, and some new ones. So I wanted to share what I’m learning as I work with the various groups from around the world.

Christian education leaders are looking for help to discover their students’ worldview

Teachers, professors, and school leaders are looking for ways to help their students to develop a mature biblical worldview, because they often want to start with a better understanding of where their students are now. Christian leaders want to know what they are working with, what strengths and faults their students have in their worldview.

I’m impressed by the care and concern these leaders show for their students. Because I learn from them regularly how better to care for my own students.

Christian education leaders want help teaching a biblical worldview to their students

When Christian education leaders want help teaching a biblical worldview to their students, they are often aware of their own worldview. They looking for ways to grow their understanding, stay sharp in filtering current events through a biblical worldview lens, and discover resources they can use in the classrooms.

I’m blessed to see so many people who love the Lord Jesus. And they want their students to love Him better, too.

Christian education leaders want their students to have and hold onto a mature biblical worldview

No matter the stage of education, Christian teachers and leaders are concerned that their students keep a strong hold on the biblical worldview they are working hard to build. With so many studies showing the incredibly small percentage of those who attend church and also hold a biblical worldview, it’s not a surprise. I get it. We want the work we do to serve the Kingdom of God to last.

I’m persuaded that while the ultimate results are out of our hands, we can trust in the Lord that his Word will bear fruit, we also can be part of his plan. We can ask our students good questions that get them to wrestle through beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes. And we can ask them to think about their answers, and to set a trajectory for what kind of people they want to be. That’s why I created the 3-Dimensional Worldview Survey. To help leaders in Christian organizations who struggle to know if their students have a mature biblical worldview in their beliefs, behaviors, and attitudes.

What can I do now?
