Merry Christmas! See you in January

December 15, 2023
Katherine Schultz

Every December, we take a holiday from the blog from December 15 through January 2 so that we can celebrate the birth of our Savior at Christmas and spend time with our loved ones. We will return in the new year.

Every new year feels like a fresh start, even if we’ve been doing something for a long time. I hope these verses can help you with a fresh start, whatever your situation.

  • Seek CHRIST.
    yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live.” (1 Cor 8:6)
  • Remember God is HOLY.
    “But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do;  for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.” (1 Pet 1:15-16)
  • Take time for REST.
    “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.” (Ex 20:8-10)
  • Go to the Lord for INSIGHT.
    For the Lord gives wisdom;
        from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.” (Prov 2:6)
  • Handle SURPRISES.
    “He saw that there was no one,
        he was appalled that there was no one to intervene;
    so his own arm achieved salvation for him,
        and his own righteousness sustained him.
    He put on righteousness as his breastplate,
        and the helmet of salvation on his head;
    he put on the garments of vengeance
        and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.” (Is 59:16-17)
  • Enjoy TREATS.
    Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart,for God has already approved what you do.” (Ecc 9:7)
    Sing and listen to good MUSIC.
    “I will extol the Lord at all times;
        his praise will always be on my lips.
    I will glory in the Lord;
        let the afflicted hear and rejoice.” (Ps 34:1-2)
  • Seek AID from God when you need help.
    “God is our refuge and strength,
        an ever-present help in trouble.” (Ps 46:1)
  • Find a SAVIOR in Jesus.
    “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.” (I John 4:14)

Read that once more… and Merry CHRISTMAS to you all!

We will be back on January 2, 2024.

P.S. If you have a survey scheduled for this time period, we’ll still work with you, of course, and if you want to register your group for the survey in January, you can do that here, and we’ll get ready for you right after our return.
