Many Christian school leaders still describe students as “postmodern.” But that language no longer fully explains what we are seeing. Meta-modernism is a posture of oscillation and borrowed authority, helping leaders understand why students can hold fragmented, even contradictory beliefs without feeling tension—and why diagnosing integration across beliefs, behaviors, and heart orientation is now essential for faithful formation.
